Lakeshore Keepers

Illuminating West Michigan's Lighthouses

Our Mission

The mission of Lakeshore Keepers is to preserve, promote, educate the public, and make our lighthouses accessible to all.

Lakeshore Keepers offers unique opportunities to explore five lighthouses along the shores of Lake Michigan from Whitehall to Manistee.

Experience the history of the lakeshore by visiting the lights in person or exploring our online resources. Lakeshore Keepers is dedicated to making our lighthouses accessible to all. Whether you’re climbing a tower, walking the grounds, or learning from home. Through preservation, education, and storytelling, we invite you to connect with the rich maritime heritage of Lake Michigan. Discover the vital role these structures continue to play and how you can be part of it.
